I sent a 1950′s focus candy box to my Mom for her birthday this year. That was in June. She was still enjoying last week – in August. (A package sent to myself would no doubt not have lasted quite that long!)

Who says living in the country is boring? Here’s a little view from Megalong Farm in Australia…

Every once and awhile something new shows up in the pasture next door.

Sometimes it is a fox or a beaver. Sometimes 6 bulls become 12 cows. Sometimes deer meander through on their way to the 180 forested acres behind the pasture. Yesterday – another new arrival…

He (or she) is about the size of my dog CoCo right now which is around 70 pounds. I don’t think this will last long. These cows grow incredibly fast so I am enjoying the look of the “baby” while I can.

Add a little bit of black and I would have to think this calf is a Raiders fan!
