Cell phone bills breaking your budget?

They won’t if you use TracFone. Buy cards for the minutes you need and forget expensive and hard-to-leave contract plans. Service works great – even in rural areas…I’m going on my 5th year with TracFone and – no worries!

I’m sorry to see that Nestle’s Coffeemate is going to a new plastic container. I’ve been managing to get some extra milage out of those I already have. This can is actually now filled with cracked corn, for a rather intelligent and particular goose…

Old Time Candy…Old Time Customer Service
by admin on Sep.01, 2010, under Product of the Week, Special Values - Limited Time Offers
I guess “Old Time” depends on how old you are, but young and old have their personal favorites and the Old Time Candy Company is a great place to do your candy “research.”
I sent a 1950′s focus candy box to my Mom for her birthday this year. That was in June. She was still enjoying last week – in August. (A package sent to myself would no doubt not have lasted quite that long!)
Not only was my Mom very pleased with the selection, but the Old Time Candy Company actually called me to ask if I’d like to add a cool-pack to the package. Since the ’50s box had a fair amount of chocolate and was being shipped on a very hot week – had they not contacted me about adding the cool-pack, the gift may have been a total disaster.
I can not remember the last time any company called me about a purchase and I highly recommend the Old Time Candy Company for gift purchases or for a little treat for yourself. Atomic fireballs, Root beer barrels, B-B Bats, Pez – you remember it – they’ve got it!

Every once and awhile something new shows up in the pasture next door.
Sometimes it is a fox or a beaver. Sometimes 6 bulls become 12 cows. Sometimes deer meander through on their way to the 180 forested acres behind the pasture. Yesterday – another new arrival…

He (or she) is about the size of my dog CoCo right now which is around 70 pounds. I don’t think this will last long. These cows grow incredibly fast so I am enjoying the look of the “baby” while I can.

Add a little bit of black and I would have to think this calf is a Raiders fan!

A fantastic electric lawnmower
by admin on Aug.18, 2010, under Product of the Week

After 7 years of hard use – including a LOT of mulching, it is time to retire my current electric lawnmower.
The good news is, I’m buying the same model again – this Black & Decker 18″ Electric Lawnmower.
I’ve considered other brands and models, and have considered battery-powered options as well. But, there is no use messing with success. I have the power cords I need to reach 95% of my yard and this little mower does a quiet and excellent job of keeping things neat and trimmed.
Anyone looking for a solid and relatively quiet way to manage their lawn mowing task may want to give this machine a good look.
