Just For Fun!

I found this little cartoon online today and thought it was pretty funny – and TRUE!
I’ve had a computer in my home for about 35 years. Built the first one from a Heath kit! Can you remember a time when you didn’t have a home computer? Or a skinny TV? Do you still have a landline? I do. I’m hanging on just out of stubbornness.
Remember those great big “Hi-Fi” units? My parents had one that was nearly as long as the living room wall, but boy could that thing make some great sounds! You stored the records in one side of the cabinet, then there was the big screen (for our time) TV, and the stereo.
Most of these things disappeared along with transistor radios, manual typewriters, and a hundred other things I can’t think of at the moment.
One thing I didn’t ponder though was where the cats will now sleep…

Weird Weather and Spring Bulbs

So, what is good for heating bills – sporadically warmer-than-usual temperatures this year in North Carolina, is not good for Spring bulbs – which are now popping up too early.
Although I plant the new bulbs a bit deeper each year, the weather always seems to trick them into sticking their noses out of the ground – usually just before a bank of 20-degree mornings.
