Hostas for garden color…

by on May.17, 2010, under Images, Real Estate

If you aren’t being terrorized by moles or voles in your garden, Hostas can be a low-maintenance way to add color to a shady (or sunny) spot. They really can be a “plant and walk away” method of dealing with areas that are just not bright enough for most Summer-blooming flowers.

Below is a prime example:

Stained Glass Hosta

This plant was actually moved to this location end of last season. It doesn’t appear to have suffered for it.

So, don’t think of Hostas as just “green” – make sure to research all varieties to find the Hosta perfect for your color-troubled garden zones. Get some additional ideas for garden color from the Rose Cottage Ltd web site

Happy Planting!
