I can’t believe US taxpayers are forced to fund so much stupidity.

++ ‘Colossal waste’: Watchdog slams $43M, US-funded gas station in Afghanistan

The lead oversight team monitoring U.S. spending in Afghanistan has found the Department of Defense spent $43 million to build a gas station in Afghanistan that should have cost roughly $500,000. The discovery came as part of a broader investigation into allegations of criminal activity within the DOD’s premiere program to kick-start the Afghan economy.

Is it the job of the US DOD to “kick-start the Afghan economy?” I don’t think so. And it gets worse:

The Task Force spent $42,718,739 between 2011 and 2014 to “fund the construction and to supervise the initial operation of the CNG station,” the U.S. military told SIGAR — with “approximately $12.3 million in direct costs and $30 million in overhead costs.”

Who approved all that funding and why are questions the DOD will not answer, according to Sopko.

The DOD “will not answer?” I’m not surprised. It’s hard to get answers to questions about spending when NO ONE seems to be in charge and NO ONE pays a penalty for the abuse of taxpayer dollars.

Are you as sick of the Middle East as I am? I am sick of the subject, sick of the deaths of US military and diplomatic personnel, and sick of the decades of focus on an area of the world that is draining the US financially with no return-on-investment. It’s a big hole in the world where US dollars just flow with taxpayers having little to no idea where the dollars are going or for what, and NO ability to say “NO!” on really stupid, wasteful ideas like this gas station.

Face it, the US Government has too many of our tax dollars. You’d never know it since they’ve “spended” us into trillions of dollars of debt AND made our dollars worth half of what they were worth 40 years ago. So why are they wasting millions on things like this? No accountability, not enough oversight, bloated Federal agencies, and the forced trillions they know they will take from taxpayers each April. Every single taxpayer knows, when your budget is tight, you pay a LOT more attention to your spending and your saving. The US Government NEVER has this mentality.

So while they waste money in the Middle East which is certainly bad enough, here’s Part Two for US taxpayers:

++ UNHCR has almost 20,000 Syrians picked out for us, lists our resettlement commitment as “open-ended”

By “us,” they mean the United States. So now the UN is telling the US how many Syrians we will take and when, and that the number they plan to “resettle” here is “open-ended.”

Almost every single “refugee” they dump in the US goes on welfare – immediately. They get cash, they get food stamps, they get subsidized housing, and their kids get put into US schools. And hey – they also get an immediate US Visa – allowing them to stay here. But many will never assimilate into US society. You read the news – you hear about the whining. Refugees who are REALLY refugees would not whine about what they are being given in order to survive. They’d just be thankful – but the refugees we are hearing about today do nothing BUT whine!

The head of the FBI has also admitted that they cannot be sure who these refugees are, what their affiliations might be, or what they might get up to in the US. And in the meantime, this will cost us BILLIONS! I didn’t agree to any of this – did you???

Not only is this administration completely out of control on spending, they are taking our dollars and making us less and less safe with every undocumented illegal and now with undocumented refugees.

This will not end well…
