++ Obama threatens to veto House GOP bill on Syrian refugee screening

“President Obama threatened late Wednesday to veto legislation aimed at improving screening for Syrian refugees, potentially putting the White House and Congress on a collision course in a matter of days.

Read this again. Obama threatened to STOP legislation that would improve our ability to know who these Syrian refugees are, who they hang out with, and where they really come from. Who does this? A US President? You can’t just call Syria and ask – there is no one home except ISIS!!!

The veto threat came as the House was preparing the bill — which sets high hurdles for refugee admission including FBI background checks and sign-offs by top officials — for floor action as early as Thursday. In a committee meeting, Rep. Pete Sessions, R-Texas, accused the president of confusing the public about the intentions of the legislation.

The processes described in the legislation do not STOP Syrian refugees from entering the US – no matter how Obama spins it.

Moments later, the White House issued a statement defending the current screening process and claiming the changes called for under the bill would create “significant delays and obstacles” for the existing vetting program.

Well guess what? WE DON’T CARE if additional screening creates delays!! Because to those supporting additional scrutiny, national security IS THE PRIORITY! And if you have a slipshod process, terrorists WILL slip in among the “refugees” and American citizens will die.

Anyone who does not support doing everything possible to ensure the safety of US citizens is certainly suspect in my opinion. As a matter of fact, some have sworn an oath to protect and defend the United States from all enemies. That would be you Mr. President.

Obama has spent a large portion of his two terms in office granting preferential treatment to illegal aliens. Now this. Does he not remember that the Tsarnaev brothers who killed and maimed US citizens during the Boston Marathon entered the US on tourist visas, suddenly decided they needed “political asylum” and were VETTED BY THE CURRENT PROCESS so were basically “refugees???”

I don’t know what drives Obama but he sure seems to discount this country and its citizens. Maybe he should have picked some other country to lead – one that aligns more with his rather warped view of the world. He certainly, although he states it often enough, does not know “who we are.” And we don’t know who he is.

You’d think a US President in the current situation would be applauding the fact that citizens and their elected representatives are greatly concerned about this national security issue. But no. It’s Obama. He’s only concerned about getting his way, his legacy, and his apparent belief that the US is not allowed to border its own country or protect its own citizens.

Call your representatives and if your state’s governor, like mine, has not requested a halt to ANY refugees without more investigation, email them, call them, stay on their backs. Remember, once these people get into our country, our officials LOSE THEM – just like they have the illegals who are on the front page of web sites protesting us while security can’t seem to find them.

And refugees aren’t all women and children as Obama wrongly stated. Even if they were, a woman suicide bomber blew herself up in France today – hoping to cause as much damage and death as possible. Some of these people have and will strap bombs to children. Ask any soldier who has served in the Middle East.

At minimum, Obama is a fool. He can afford to be. He and his family live behind gates with 24/7 security. The rest of us don’t. And we will be the ones his foolish and thoughtless policies injure and kill.

I’m not afraid Mr. President – I’m pissed.
