GOP Debate: Disorganized
by admin on Sep.17, 2015, under US Politics
Is it just me or was that debate last night disorganized and at times, flat out embarrassing to watch?
For most of it there seemed to be little to no moderation. Some candidates were able to go on and on – usually NOT answering the question asked, while others were stopped on a dime.
At other times it seemed rather high school. As example, moderator to Carly Fiorina, “Donald Trump made a comment about your face, then said it wasn’t about your face, so what do you think and what do you have to say to him?”
Really?
Is this what they and we were there to hear?
And why was Donald Trump given so much time to rant on about himself? I like a lot of what he says, but it was not the Donald Trump Show either! At times he seemed to be able to respond to just about anything said by anyone else. This is not my idea of what a “debate” is supposed to be. And because of the lack of proper time management, we heard very little from several of the candidates.
I haven’t watched CNN for years. Now I remember why. Many of their questions seemed petty or pointed at making someone look bad. Twice, Dr. Ben Carson and Governor Scott Walker had to correct the misquotes that were part of this debate. Does CNN no longer have a research department? Was it not important to pose questions based on verified facts? Since it wasn’t – you wasted a lot of our time.
I will watch any and all debates because I need to know the maximum I can about these candidates. But I can tell you now, my eventual choice will be based on my own research – not the side-show we watched last night.
