Remember those Charlie Brown TV specials where you never saw any adults and if they were supposed to be talking off-screen, all you’d hear was “waw-waw-waw” gobbledygook? When I turn on my TV these days – the politicians seem to have reverted to the “waw-waw-waw” yet again. I can’t make sense of most of what they say, particularly Obama. Him I find almost painful to watch.

The media is already culling the GOP field (in my opinion.) We don’t ask them to do this, and it’s subtle, but they are doing it already. I’ve heard a LOT of common sense from Carly Fiorina – and admitting that she has not publicly declared she’s running for US President – why do I seldom see her on TV? Jeb Bush hasn’t declared yet either and he is EVERYWHERE.

Hillary Clinton is also everywhere – including her laughable trip “among the people” – in her armored van. Are you kidding me? She already told us she hasn’t driven a car in over 20 years and she wasn’t driving this time. Does she want credit for being a good passenger? Eating at Chipotle didn’t make a good impression on me either. They’ve been fined in the past for hiring illegal aliens. Nice pick Hillary. Is this an effort to get the overly-emphasized “Latino vote?”

I could go on, but I don’t want to add to the noise any further. What does bother me is that this “noise” seems to be taking a LOT of time away from issues. Big ones. Serious issues for our country. While the media – and many politicians, are focused on the “Who, What, Where and When” of all the political candidates – much is being sidelined and I resent it.

ISIS is still slaughtering Christians and gaining important and strategic territory. Illegals are STILL flooding our southern border – what there is of it. Obama and Kerry are still lying to us about what they’ve promised Iran – and the threat of global nuclear war could now be in our more-immediate future because of it. Our State Department is letting people from the US – many either NOT Americans or naturalized Americans, travel to terrorist nests – and then return to the US. Maybe they need to review their naturalization process? I know this sounds bad, but in this current environment if you categorize yourself as any form of hyphenated American, I’m suspicious of your loyalty to my country.

I have this nagging feeling that if SOMEONE in Washington does not start implementing some changes and quick, we might not make it to Election 2016. Instead of political hopefuls making noise about what they would do in 2017, I’m more interested in what needs to be done TODAY and for those already in political positions – what they are doing NOW.
