Hillary’s Email Mess
by admin on Mar.11, 2015, under US Politics
Yes, I call it “Hillary’s” because she created this email controversy. And why do we know about it at all? Because the Benghazi Committee is STILL trying to find out who screwed up and cost a US Ambassador and 3 security agents their lives in Libya. What role did our then Secretary of State play, or not? Going on 3 years later and we are still trying to get to the facts.
I’m not going to re-hash all the things known about Hillary and her decision to go “outside the box” with her email and her personal server. What I am going to say is that this episode is just another sign of the sad state of affairs the US is in – and that incompetence, corruption, refusal to abide by rules and laws, secrets, backroom deals, and political cronyism are destroying or severely limiting the country we could have. And I resent it – daily.
Did you see the story yesterday about the Social Security Administration? Seems a independent review found some 6 million plus illegally used social security numbers are in the current system and getting some form of benefit from it. The payouts to these numbered accounts – some of who were originally given to people who would (if still alive) would be over 112 years of age – are in the TRILLIONS of dollars. But they’ll tell US – those who have been paying in to this system for decades, that Social Security might be totally bankrupt by 2030. Guess we know why. We’re being robbed. In some cases by career criminals, but in many cases, these numbers are sold to and used by – illegal aliens.
What does the US President say about Hillary and her emails? Once again, although he was allegedly in email exchanges with his Secretary of State (as you’d think,) he claims he “heard about it on the news.” Again. Are we paying him to watch TV? I swear I think his lights may be on, but no one is home!
If I get a package of chicken from the store, bring it home to fry, and open the package to find the chicken stinks to high heaven, do I just toss it in the hot oil and ASSUME all will be well? No. Well right about now, every time I read these news headlines, many of them, or rather the explanations given for what just doesn’t sound right, also “stink.”
With the copious coverage of Hillary and her secret server, let’s not forget that the explanations given to us by The White House AND the Secretary of State about Benghazi still stink. The attack being caused by Muslim outrage over some video smelled bad from Day One – and who knows who was at the bottom of that fiction. Our government turns many of us into those who are labeled “conspiracy theorists” because we ask about things that don’t pass the smell test. They then add to the damage by things like lying, or hiding SOME emails – which should prove or disprove actual involvement.
I’m not stupid, I pay attention, and I have common sense. Most of us aren’t stupid and none of us like being treated as if we are. Because we aren’t stupid we also know that institutions that constantly lie to us and do not serve and protect our interests are, not to be trusted a second time. I think over half this country is suffering from some level of mental depression right now because all we get is lies and abuse – with no end in sight – and little light at the end of the tunnel.
All we are left to do is read the news, research what is going on, know how it impacts us, and hold feet to the fire with our Senators and Congressmen when necessary. We are losing our voice as citizens and a few cards and letters won’t change the tide. More US citizens need to DEMAND better because we pay for better and we deserve better.
I don’t lie and I don’t find it acceptable that ANY person I pay to serve as MY representative either lies to me and my fellow citizens, or thinks they are somehow above ANY laws. It just doesn’t pass the smell test.
