I feel bad about not being completely accurate about a purchase. If I am reviewing an item, I want to be exact.

I was planning to buy a replacement 18″ Black & Decker Electric Lawn Mower as I mentioned here.

Once I started reviewing the lawn mowers I decided to go with the 19″ base of the same model:

I had to wait to return from vacation to order so it wouldn’t be delivered while I was gone. Amazon is so fast with shipping, things usually show up sooner than I expect. The mower arrived yesterday and will be out of the box this afternoon. Will add some additional info and a picture or two sometime this weekend…Good timing too since a LOT of leaves are falling.

I got 7 years of fairly rough use out of the last one I purchased so I figure around $30 per year to mow all my grass and mulch all the leaves is pretty economical. I don’t see any bump in the electric bill during the busiest season – and I never have to buy gas or oil.

After 7 years of hard use – including a LOT of mulching, it is time to retire my current electric lawnmower.

The good news is, I’m buying the same model again – this Black & Decker 18″ Electric Lawnmower.

I’ve considered other brands and models, and have considered battery-powered options as well. But, there is no use messing with success. I have the power cords I need to reach 95% of my yard and this little mower does a quiet and excellent job of keeping things neat and trimmed.

Anyone looking for a solid and relatively quiet way to manage their lawn mowing task may want to give this machine a good look.
