Wow. How disengaged do you have to be from a majority of the country to crow about what a “good week” you had?

After the Supreme Court on Friday legalized same-sex marriage nationwide, the White House was illuminated with rainbow-colored lights. That night, people gathered outside the White House to celebrate.

“That made it a really good week,” Mr. Obama said. “To see people gathered in the evening outside on a summer night, and to feel whole and to feel accepted and to feel that they had a right to love — that was pretty cool. That was a good thing.”

Okay, that was “good news” for about 3% of the country.

The passage of trade promotion authority, he said, will enable the negotiation of “high-standards agreements.” He also reiterated his approval of the Supreme Court’s rulings on marriage and on the Affordable Care Act.

What’s the deal with this “Affordable Care Act?” It’s Obamacare. It’s forced. It isn’t “affordable.” It has a tax/penalty. And has only “helped” about 6 million people out of the 300 million it was supposed to positively impact.

So that news was only good for about 2% of this country.

And here’s what’s on tap from Obama:

“Specifically, he said he’s interested in securing bipartisan legislation to invest in infrastructure and to reform the criminal justice system. He also said he wants to keep making progress on the issue of job training and to ensure that his proposal for subsidizing community college starts taking root.”

He’s already releasing criminal illegal aliens back onto our streets so I’m not sure how many others he plans to release from our jails. But it won’t be a “good week” for US citizens.

“Job training?” For what “jobs?” Free community college (which of course will NOT be free to US taxpayers,) to get degrees to do – WHAT JOBS??? Jobs and the economy have been Obama’s “job” for 6+ years and he’s done NOTHING!! Now he has a plan??? Is it the same “plan” he talked about for the 2012 campaign – that has NOT increased labor participation by mid-2015?

And his handed-over win on trade authority – thanks in large part to Republicans? I am still speechless over this one. We voted these fools in to reign in Obama’s “power” – not to EXPAND it! But that’s exactly what they did. The GOP leadership, which is apparently listening to 0% of its base – is now holding the #2 position on the “can’t trust” list.

So Obama had his week, and his light show on OUR house, and played a little golf, and turned a South Carolina eulogy into a political event, and he had a “good week.”

Too bad about 95% of the citizens of this country – didn’t. And too bad, although no longer surprising, Obama and his ego don’t care.
