2016 Election: A Two-Horse Race?

I hate to agree with naysayers, but it appears the media is trying to push Americans into focusing on only two particular presidential candidates. For the democrats it’s Hillary Clinton; for the republicans, Jeb Bush. How boring. I watched the Kentucky Derby a few weekends ago – how much fun would that have been with only two horses?
Hillary is a walking, talking example of a political game-player who, with her husband Bill, seems to live and breathe for power, money, and status. Granted, they’ve played the game very well, but those skills have nothing to do with someone’s ability to lead this country. Obama is allegedly a great political speaker – I don’t see it myself, but look where electing a speech-giver got us.
I can’t figure out why Jeb Bush is running except daddy did it and brother did it. First, do we have so few eligible and qualified people that we need a third president from ONE American family? The field of announced and potential candidates says “No.” Second, I don’t care what ethnicity Jeb’s wife is, but he is pushing hard on some form of amnesty for 20+ million illegals already doing quite well (illegally) in the US. Well, that makes him a felon. Yes, it is a felony to “aid or abet” those illegally in the US. Which means about 75% of local, state and federal representatives of the LEGAL people in the US should at least be up on charges.
Supposedly, republicans – like Jeb – are worried about winning the “Hispanic vote.” Really? Which Hispanics? Those who came here legally who are now entitled to vote or, those here illegally – who are not supposed to be able to vote anyway? From what I’ve read lately, about 4 senators and about 8 congressmen actually know there is a difference between legal immigrants and illegal aliens. That’s all! Hillary is a democrat – if she hadn’t already said, we’d know where she stands on illegals and “refugees” and immigration. The more the merrier! Give them free medical, education grants, work permits, free phones, EBT cards and hey – they’ll “vote” democrat for life. What’s the problem here? US Taxpayers are footing ALL the bills.
It’s bad enough that many of this country’s “representatives of the people” are NOT listening to their constituents. It is worse that we get a seemingly planned amount of coverage of potential candidates – based on media perceptions. I don’t want the most successful speaker or campaigner or money-raiser as the next US President. We have a LOT of problems in this country that need immediate attention. We need someone with work, governing, and foreign policy skills – not the best campaigner.
There are more than two horses already in this race. I’ll be expecting to hear about more than Jeb or Hillary and what I don’t hear, I will research on my own. This is OUR election, not the media’s, not Jeb’s, and not Hillary’s.
