Boycott – Cabela’s and Sportman’s Warehouse

Are you as tired of corporate greed and stupidity as I am?
Cabela’s and Sportman’s Warehouse win the dubious awards this week for cruelty to animals, corporate stupidity, and for promoting self-serving and ill-advised activities using animal’s lives to do so.
The latest attempts to make more money have them conducting “predator derbies.” Their targets? Wolves.
People pay fees to join in this corporate game and are awarded 3 points for each “kill.” The fees paid are used to fund lawyers and advertising to promote MORE wolf killing so Cabela’s and Sportsman’s Warehouse can sell more product and make more money.
Guess this is easier for them than just providing better products or reducing the prices of the items they already sell. They’d rather promote murder instead.
Along with this troubling news is the fact that several newspapers in the State of Nebraska – home to Cabela’s, refused to run ads requested by Defenders of Wildlife, a group in strong opposition to this monstrous idea. So the Omaha World Herald, The Sidney Sun-Telegraph, and any others who barred free speech get a thumb’s down as well. No one likes a corporate toady…
Please take a few moments to register your opposition to this horrendous attack on wolves and boycott Cabela’s and Sportsman’s Warehouse.
