This has to be the worst of a bad week’s worth of news and info. Harry Reid, the former Senate Majority Leader (now Minority Leader and going to resign,) admitting that he lied on the Senate floor about US Presidential candidate Mitt Romney in 2012. Even worse, when confronted with his lie, he smirks and basically says “Well, he (Romney) didn’t win did he?” Reid looks like he’s expecting a Academy Award he’s so pleased with himself.

This coming from the person who has blocked some 600+ piece of legislation – some of it bipartisan – because it was on topics Obama didn’t want to deal with. Is the Obama administration concerned about Harry’s lies for which they benefited? No. Can the senate censure him in any way for lying on the Senate floor? No – it’s “protected speech.”

So if you are wondering what is going on in Washington and why they can’t get anything done, and why things often make no sense, look at this horrid example of a US Politician. I don’t care if you are a Democrat (which Harry is) or a Republican – you should be outraged that people who live a rather charmed life with 6-figure salaries, 5-Star restaurants, chauffeur-driven limousines, first class air travel, and security guards, get away with obstructing legislation and knowingly LYING during a US Presidential campaign. And yes, it was proven as a lie that Romney “had not paid any taxes for 10 years.” The final irony is that when asked – since the topic seemed so important to him, Harry Reid would not release HIS tax info to the public.

We so deserve better than this from EVERY US Politician. I’m tired of paying and paying taxes to people I am glad are not family members and I would sure never want to do business with.
