There is a lot of controversy surrounding fracking at the moment. For those who want to know what all the controversy is about, here’s a video from the North Carolina Conservation Network:

It is the job of energy-industry interests and unfortunately, some local governments, to make a LOT of money – versus making long-term decisions in the best interests of residents. Gutting a city or town, or making homes uninhabitable for the purpose of some highly publicized and merely “proposed” gain, is not good enough for me and it should not be good enough for you. Many towns in North Carolina that have been hammered by the loss of manufacturing and poultry processing jobs are at risk from those who swoop in talking big lease money – a great time to remember that old saying, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

Rose Cottage Ltd is taking part in the NCCN fundraising campaign with a big focus on Earth Week – April 16th – April 22, 2012. If you can donate $5 or $10 towards making sure US residents and North Carolina residents get unbiased facts regarding hydrofracking, it will make a better planet for all of us.
