Outdoor spaces – Add a greenhouse
by admin on Feb.01, 2011, under Favorites
This greenhouse is made from heat-retaining, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate, providing a superior environment for plant growth. The 4-mm thick polycarbonate is 200% stronger than glass, it filters the sun’s harmful UV rays, and maintains a more consistent internal temperature to extend growing seasons and keep plants warm during cold nights. Unlike glass, polycarbonate diffuses sunlight as it enters the greenhouse and distributes it evenly throughout the interior to encourage photosynthesis.
The broadsides of the greenhouse have 21″-deep shelves that run the entire length of the walls, providing ample room for pots. A vent on the roof and another next to the door provide air circulation, or the vents can be shut to increase the internal temperature and humidity–ideal conditions for tropical plants. The greenhouse’s frame is made from weatherproof powder-coated aluminum. Assembly instructions included.
8′ x 12′ Greenhouse. 7′ 7″ high. (Other sizes available)
This is a great way to add controlled, outdoor space without spending a fortune or needing a building permit (in most areas). Add a greenhouse and expand your planting zone – no matter what your geographic location. The polycarbonate panes are also a safer choice for anyone like myself who lives in a world surrounded by a lot of trees – with branches than tend to drop at will…
Orchids anyone?
