Dreary days here don’t make for great pictures but with only 3 of these on the property, thought they deserved a post.

This rather showy Mountain Laurel has a brief blooming season here at Rose Cottage – usually right around Easter. Trying to find the 3 flowering plants on this 7-acre property each season is a bit like hunting Easter eggs…

And it’s a beauty! Smells better than it looks!

Every once in awhile gardening efforts really pay off – and prove they are always worth it…

Notice that the new wisteria is getting to prime-time growth season:

The way this thing is growing, it may be wrapped around the entire house by Fall 2011!

Got some of these seeds from my Mom (thanks!)

Many of the blooms are buttercup yellow but this one bloomed yesterday with almost a Fall-color look.
