Hot as Hades!

Well I can’t say for sure, but you get my point. We’ve reached 99 degrees today near Raleigh with a heat index of 115. Even my banana plant is wilting a bit.
Hearing some local news about TS Arthur – which they think will be a hurricane by this time tomorrow with winds up to 85 mph. A friend of mine who is currently AT the beach says some of the local attractions are closed and that “tourists” are leaving the area at a pretty good clip. Bad timing for them and for the businesses who rely on these holiday weekends for a good portion of their yearly revenue.
One of our local stations, WRAL, has a pretty good web site with a really nice interactive tracking map. Thought I’d post a link here since many may have friends at NC beaches and want to know what’s happening tomorrow with this storm and the weather.
