About 20 years ago I sent my Mom a bulb garden of Narcissus (Paperwhites) for Christmas. It has become a tradition.
I actually get these out to her, (if I’m running on schedule!) at Thanksgiving so she can enjoy them all through the holidays. 20 years ago I had to assemble the “garden” myself – buying the bulbs, the planter pot, and the soil, and then sending everything along. Now, giving the gift of flowers in Winter is as easy as a few clicks with your mouse.
