Friday Funny…

At least I thought so!
This falls into that category of not asking for info unless you are prepared to get it!
Vet Cure
A Veterinarian was feeling ill and went to see her doctor.
The doctor asked her all the usual questions: what were the symptoms, how long had they been occurring, etc.
Suddenly, she interrupted him: “Hey look, I’m a vet – I don’t need to ask my patients these kind of questions. I can tell what’s wrong just by looking.” She then smugly added, “Why can’t you?”
The doctor nodded, stood back, looked her up and down, quickly wrote out a prescription, handed it to her and said, “There you are. Of course, if that doesn’t work, we’ll have to have you put to sleep.”

They also offer the best coverage of any cell phone provider. Signals are carried on towers of over 30 major carriers around the U.S.

Holiday Planning – For Your Health
by admin on Nov.26, 2012, under Favorites
I’m still on a roll to get myself in better shape by the end of 2012. A huge part of my program is to lower body/blood acidity and get to a better pH balance. Why? Many diseases CAN NOT THRIVE if your body’s pH level is optimal alkaline.
Want to find out more about it? Here’s a great (and my primary) source of info:
Need further incentive? How about a lower acidity number or your order is FREE?
Adding alkaline minerals to your diet is easy and can take about 30-seconds per day. You really have nothing to lose and MUCH to gain. You can even charge up your water supply for the day and improve your health every time you hydrate:
It doesn’t get any easier. This is a true “no brainer” way to improve health if I’ve ever heard of one. Click any of these banners to head over to the Phion web site and download your free copy: “pHion’s Acid-Alkaline Foods chart to familiarize yourself with an Alkaline based diet.”
Bad Neighbors – Country Style: Part II
by admin on Nov.25, 2012, under Quick Deals!, Real Estate
Part I of this messy story…
And then there’s my car…

Now anyone that knows me knows that for me, keeping my car clean is practically a religion. I can guarantee you this car did not look like this first thing this morning – before the neighbor started spreading his chicken feces (and dust) in a 3 mile radius!

Anyone reading this who is also in the habit of detailing their own car will know that this crap dust will be hard to clean out of every crevice a car has to offer. A quick spray on a 40 degree day will not do it and as the car was clean earlier this morning, I wasn’t expecting to have to “fix” this before I head out tomorrow.

That is actually a ridge of piled up chicken feces dust – on the hood of MY car. I’ll bet there is none on the neighbor’s car – you know, the one who was spreading this dust around earlier. No. He does this on days it will ALL blow in my direction.
There has to be a special place in Hell for people who would do this to their neighbor. The air outside now stinks like dead chicken – anyone who has ever had the bad experience will know how bad this smells.
Happy Sunday to everyone who is not living on my property today…
Bad Neighbors – Country Style
by admin on Nov.25, 2012, under Images, Real Estate
Here’s how a country neighbor can negatively impact a bright and sunny afternoon. Maybe you’re outside raking some leaves and enjoying some fresh air around the lake.

Before – Clear sunny day
Then you hear the rumble of a truck in the pasture next door and pretty soon, you can barely see 100′.

After – Poultry dust cloud
And you can’t say the neighbor doesn’t know this will happen because he’s done it before. And he also knows that my air, my window sills, my lungs, my lake, and my car will now be covered with the dust from his chicken feces. He knows that when he did this one spring just before several days of rain, the crap, literally, ran into my lake and killed some 8 DOZEN fish. It also helps the neighbor that he seems to ensure he does this nastiness on a day when any breeze is blowing in MY direction – meaning away from HIS house and vehicles.

Guess where this is headed?
Here’s a “before” shot looking up my driveway. Look to the left and you can see the crap-cloud on its way:

and here’s the “after” about 60 seconds later:

It got worse, but I admit to running inside before the worst of it arrived!
Even worse, I am now inside with all the doors and windows closed since it’s about 35 degrees outside and, I am sneezing – inside my home. No doubt I will wipe off kitchen counters, etc., later today and find a film of this microscopic chicken shit dust in my house. I will have hopefully sneezed most of it out of my sinuses by then.
The irony of this is that in this same pasture, the neighbor often has his cows and sometimes, bulls. In fact on two separate occasions, cows and bulls have breached his fence and ended up in my yard – the cows tearing a large section of gutter off the low-side of my house.

Poultry waste dust cloud coming – but all clear up at his house!
Did I complain? Did I ignore? NO. I immediately stopped what I was doing and CALLED the neighbor to tell him his animals had escaped. Then, I went outside and helped him CATCH THEM! Did I want a reward? No. Do I think it might entitle me to a bit of consideration? F’ing right I do!
But year after year I get no consideration. In fact having asked for at least a call of warning so that I don’t spend 4 hours detailing my car the day before he does this – never comes. Or hey – I know it’s a lot of trouble for you, but how about 10 minutes notice so I can at LEAST close any open windows? No…
I’ll now be anxiously awaiting the day when 5 or 6 of his cows end up in my driveway or yard yet again. The only phone call I make will be to Lowes – to set up immediate delivery of a large freezer – to hold all those free steaks and rump roasts that will soon be making their way to my dinner table.

Faster than a speeding bullet, here come the holidays – 2012 style.
This for many means the four “Fs” of friends, family, food, and FULL! I am as guilty as anyone else of eating more food and of a richer type during the holidays than at other times of the year.
Fortunately, there are products that can help keep the extra acid from making me feel less-than-stellar over the holidays. Some of these I’ve been using all this year with some darn good results. You can find a pH chart and read more about my efforts to get healthy by balancing body pH here.
You can order pHion Balance Booster – Boost Your Water, Energy and Health. By simply adding this to the water you drink each day, you’ll improve pH balance automatically.

Watching the Outdoors: Motion-Detection Cameras
by admin on Nov.08, 2012, under Favorites
I’ve been pondering one of these cameras for the last couple of years and am taking a look yet again. Quality of picture and “viewability” features continue to improve so now might be the right time.
Below are a few options from National Geographic – people who know a thing or three about watching our great outdoor world.
8.0-megapixel Infrared Digital Motion-detection Camera with High-definition Video
This one is so popular it’s out of stock at the moment, but I’m bookmarking it for future reference because of the outstanding features offered on this higher-end ($299) camera.
Triggered by heat and movement, this simplified all-weather cameras capture multiple images of backyard wildlife— our newest version also captures high-definition video. And with infrared technology, it provides clearer black-and-white nighttime still images or video without the use of a flash.
Equipped with a 50-degree wide-angle lens, an adjustable (on/off) 30-foot flash or infrared emitter range, and test mode. Features 24-hour operation, burst mode for multiple exposures, four time-out settings between activations, minimum focus of 5 feet, AVI video capability, and time/date/moon phase stamps on each image. Can also capture video in color or night vision for 5 to 300 seconds per triggering. SD card slot for expanded memory accepts up to 16-GB card for thousands of images.
This next camera comes in at around $120.00. In stock and ready to ship.
The 5.0 Megapixel Infrared Digital Motion-detection Camera provides clearer nighttime images without use of a flash, so nocturnal animals aren’t startled. Features a 1- to 20-minute pause time between activations, minimum focus of 5 feet, AVI video capability, time and date stamp, moon phase stamp, built-in 32MB memory, and an SD card slot for expanded memory.
If you have even a passing interest in finding out who is visiting your bird feeder, this next web cam is for you!
With the Audubon BirdCam you can look at your backyard in a whole new way with this motion-activated 5-MP digital camera. “Smart sensor” technology and laser aim let you photograph birds and wildlife without disturbing them. And because the camera is activated only when an animal is detected, you’ll have fewer empty frames and a longer battery life. No tools, wires, or software is needed to get your weatherproof camera up and running. Several mounting options available: attach to a post or tree with included stretch cords, or simply set it on the ground. No flash; daytime use only.
Around $160 – In stock and ready to ship to your bird feeding area!
